Twelve members of the Pioneer Heart Pillow Team, made up if Fort Pepperrell Life Members, partners and friends lead this very worthwhile project. The Heart Pillows project addresses a need in the health care system that helps heart patients.   The pillows are designed to aid patients recovering from heart surgery who are encouraged to cough to release congestion in their lungs. When patients cough, the pain is excruciating. The Heart Pillows are held to the chest to help to relieve that pain.

The Heart Pillows team produces 75 pillows each month, which equated to 2025 hours for the Fort Pepperrell Life Members team this past year. Another great project of Aliant Pioneer Volunteers!
